March 5th Fair Haven Church Conference Affirms Merger Covenant

Dear Fair Haven Family and Friends,

The vote on the merger was completed Sunday, March 5, at a called Church Conference. The members of Fair Haven have voted to proceed with the merger with Chapelwood United Methodist Church. District Superintendent Andy Noel presided over the Conference in accordance with all requirements of the United Methodist Book of Discipline. The Fair Haven Board of Governors will continue to meet as the next steps are thoughtfully worked out.
The study team made up of Debbie Eng, Bob Wolfram, Lisa Johnson, and Mark Hughes has been disbanded. A transition team has been formed, and had their first meeting on March 4, 2017.  New information will be posted below as it becomes available.

As members assembled for the Church Conference, Chancel Choir director, Joe Birdwell, provided music while Spanish translator, Viviana Rodriguez, prepares her broadcast equipment to transmit the proceedings to those with receiver headsets.

 

 

 

Over 200 gathered in the Fair Haven Fellowship Hall for the March 5, 2017 Church Conference.
