United Methodist Women

The organized unit of UNITED METHODIST WOMEN shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through JESUS CHRIST, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Any woman may become a member who chooses to belong, is committed to the purpose, and is willing to be involved in global mission through UNITED METHODIST WOMEN.  Organizing for mission takes many forms: prayer, giving (pledge and other special channels), study, service, and the use of special abilities.  At Fair Haven we attempt to implement this purpose through a monthly GENERAL MEETING of study and fellowship and various INTEREST GROUPS:

GENERAL MEETINGS are held the first Tuesday of the month - September through May - at 9:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.  (See map.) The UMW purpose is explored through studies of spiritual growth, global awareness, social action and service opportunities.

INTEREST GROUPS provide an opportunity for study and service combined with fellowship and the developing of friendship within the church.  All groups meet September through May, unless otherwise noted.  To contact the UMW for more information concerning a particular group by e-mail, please Click Here.
