9-27-15 Contemporary Service - "Word of God, Speak" by Bob Luton from Bob Luton on Vimeo.

As the Alpha Course continues in the classroom, worship themes seek to amplify important faith basics each week. In this sermon, Bob Luton brings to the contemporary service the importance of letting God's Spirit touch us as we read the Holy Bible. Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, read by Nina Morales

This sanctuary sermon on prayer by Bob Luton highlights certain aspects of the day's Alpha session on the same subject. Youth Director, Jasmine Young, reads the scripture: Matthew 6:5-13

As the Alpha Course proceeds in our Adult Sunday School classes this Fall, important themes are addressed in the sermons each week.  On September 13, 2015, "How Can I Be Sure Of My Faith" is underscored in this sermon by Paul Thomasson in the traditional sanctuary service.

Gospel Sunday was exciting as we welcomed missionaries working through the Generation Transformation Program of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church.  Rev. Danny Hernaez, our Vibrant Church Initiative Coach, introduces the speaker, missionary Joy A. Bohol.  The scripture reader is missionary Michelle Ivy;  Learn more about Joy A. joy2gather contemporary worship - Fellowship Hall

This is a Sunday Sermon by Bob Luton on the familiar "Doubting Thomas" story. It begins in a traffic jam... and ends with a question. For our first video venture in the joy2gather contemporary service, Bill from the Hispanic congregation was kind enough to come and do the camera work. Thanks, Bill! Thanks also to UCC Pastor John McCall for the "10th Beatitude" idea.

The Pastor of our Hispanic congregation at Fair Haven UMC, was invited to the Nacion TV Studio in Houston to try his hand at presenting his message to a television audience. We think you'll agree he did a marvelous job!
