What is LOGOS?

LOGOS is a dynamic ministry of Christian nurture, the goal of which is to nurture children and youth into a committed faith relationship with God through Jesus Christ and to prepare them for a life of Christian discipleship. Developing and nurturing Christian  relationships is at the heart of the LOGOS weekly ministry...where we learn and practice loving one another as Christ loved us, giving each other unconditional, unearned, undeserved grace and love.

LOGOS is designed for the Christian nurture of children and youth but it involves the whole family...as well as the church    family!  Parents are expected to find a place to serve in LOGOS...based on their gifts, interests, and availability.

You May Be Thinking...

"My kids are involved in so much! How could we fit another thing into our schedule?"

Extracurricular activities are an important part of life and help to build character and a well-rounded person. We  believe that nurturing children and youth into a saving relationship with Christ is more important than everything else and that the nurturing should take place in the home, in the church, on the soccer field, at the music lesson...! Consider your family’s schedule and how to make room for the learning and the practice of the faith. We hope that it will include time for LOGOS.

Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray."

Wednesday’s Schedule:

From 4:30 until 6:00 we have Bible Study, Recreation, and Worship Skills.

From 6:00 until 7:00 We Have Supper.

LOGOS has four parts...

Bible Study:  A thorough grounding in the Bible is essential to the development of Christian life and character.  The weekly study of scripture   informs and directs how we live our lives as part of a Christian community.

Worship Skills:  This is the time to learn about worship and to prepare for leadership in regular congregational worship.  Elementary age children participate in choir.  Middle schoolers and high schoolers have a variety of worship skills which may include choir, drama, puppets, and band.

Recreation Play:  Play is one of the best ways we practice treating one  another as a child of God and so all age groups take time  during the evening for FUN!

Family Time: LOGOS Family Time is not just a time to eat dinner.  “Table families” care for and about each other as they share food, fun, and conversation around the table .

What does it cost?

Tuition is Free:  This includes study books and  curriculum resources, recreation and worship skills supplies, as well as administrative services and volunteer training.

It is not necessary to be a member of
